About
Years ago, Cypress Meadows Community Church started a school in Haiti. At this school, five hundred children receive one solid meal per day, a uniform, and a priceless education. The school is in the city of Saint-louis Du Nord which has a river flowing through the middle of town. This river is where people wash their clothes, bathe, relieve themselves, and receive their drinking water. Currently, the children of the school drink from this ever-flowing resource. Buckets are carried from the school, three hundred yards away, to the river where they fill up and are carried back the school.
Our next mission, and the purpose of this blog, is to bring clean drinking water to the school. Clean water to these children mean their lives. Hundreds of children die daily due to unclean water, most of these children are under the age of five. By bringing clean water to the school, these children have a fighting chance to never see the illness’ that currently await them.
